The works—some of which draw on collection items available on the digitalpasifik.org portal—explored how digitally accessible collections can be viewed, reinterpreted, and presented.
Stacey and Hamish Artwork
In this multimedia piece featuring soundscapes, music, archival images, and narratives, Stacey and her brother Hamish Kokaua take us on a journey from the invisibility of women in the Cook Islands to the culture of genealogy, ultimately arriving at the material of coconut fibers to weave these connections together.
An Ode to Masi
In this captivating performance, Natasha Ratuva uses poetry, storytelling, and the intricate patterns of masi (bark cloth) to explore themes of ancestry, family, the land, and culture.

In this film Sean Joseph Choo uses archival footage, text and music to paint a tapestry of the land, the ocean, and its people. The work is a visual ode to Hawaiian life. Nostalgic, scenic and haunting.
