Conference in the Desert Diorama – 360° Experience

Changing wall panoramas create a unique atmosphere in the diorama. Through early 2027, you can enjoy a warm desert atmosphere amid Namibia’s endless sand dunes. The adjacent foyer offers space for setting up a buffet and/or a bar. Depending on the seating arrangement, up to 60 people can attend your event.

Workshops and Presentations Forum and Lobby

The Forum is ideal for presentations and workshops. In addition to row seating for up to 120 people, various areas can be set up for group work. The cozy nooks provide a pleasant setting for pre- and post-event discussions. The Forum is surrounded by a lobby that can be integrated into your event – for example, for a cocktail reception, a light lunch, additional breakout sessions or small trade shows.

From social gatherings to receptionsFoyer with a whale

When you enter the foyer, you’ll immediately find yourself face-to-face with one of the museum’s oldest exhibits: a 17th-century minke whale that once washed ashore on the Lesum River welcomes guests here. The foyer is particularly well-suited for receptions, get-togethers, or private celebrations. The foyer is also frequently booked in conjunction with the Diorama or Oceania exhibits; for example, a lecture in the Diorama followed by a get-together in the foyer.

Depending on the museum’s operational constraints, the foyer can only be rented outside of opening hours.

Celebrating Between Continents: Off to Samoa!

In our exhibition “Der blaue Kontinent – Inseln im Pazifik,” you can explore the various event options centered around our rocky island in Palau. It provides a stunning backdrop for receptions, lectures, or get-togethers. The second atrium is perfect for atmospheric receptions with a buffet in the Asia exhibition area or colorful celebrations in the Africa exhibition. Here you’ll find information on special rental offers in conjunction with our major special exhibitions.
