In 2019, we opened the permanent exhibition “Tracking the Past” on the history of our institution. There, we feature the interactive film station “Museum Questions”, which we developed based on the Korsakov principle devised by Berlin-based filmmaker Florian Thalhofer.
Here, people who work at the Übersee-Museum or do research on our collections answer many questions or raise new ones. It deals with topics of provenance research, the colonial history of our collections, responsibility and the chances of knowledge transfer through digital media.
