Tracking the past of German colonialism in Africa

After a brief general introduction to the concept and history of colonialism, the focus will be on German colonial rule. Among other things, the genocide of the Herero and its consequences as well as the political situation in Kamerun at the “time of the Germans” are discussed. References are made to the past of the museum as well as Bremen.
