Schools

The Übersee-Museum is a vivid place of learning for students of all ages. The exhibitions of the museum enable encounters with nature and culture from other regions of the world and offer numerous connecting points for varied “lessons outside the house”. A wide range of educational offers raise awareness of environmental protection or multicultural processes. Children and young people are encouraged to learn through research and to put their findings into practice.

Whether guided tours such as “Eine Museumsreise” (a museum journey) or “Expedition ins Tierreich” (expedition into the animal Kingdom), workshops, project weeks and rallies for independent exploration of the exhibitions – the museum’s mediation offers are adjusted to the requirements of different school levels or age groups and adapt to different educational schedules. The museum education team is also happy to create individual solutions.

Entry for Bremen school classes has been free since April 1st, 2018. This is sponsored by the Sparkasse Bremen.
