Antwort: Einen Budgetrahmen veröffentlichen wir nicht vorab. Bitte kalkulieren Sie den Aufwand nach Ihrer konzeptionellen Einschätzung. Wie in der Leistungsbeschreibung angegeben, können nach der Konzeptphase im gegenseitigen Einvernehmen Budgetanpassungen vorgenommen werden. Allerdings wünschen wir uns dennoch eine Einschätzung der zu erwartenden Konzept- und Entwicklungskosten auf Basis der Leistungsbeschreibung. Answer: We do not publish a budget in advance. Please calculate the effort according to your conceptual estimates. As stated in the specification of services, budget adjustments can be made by mutual agreement after the concept phase. However, we would still like an estimate of the expected concept and development costs based on the specification of services.
Frage: Was ist gemeint mit „relevant questions“ in Punkt I. 5? Lassen sich die Ziele des Projekts noch präziser fassen? Question: What is meant by „relevant questions (I. 5)? Can the goals be defined even more precisely??
Antwort: Wir haben über unser Publikum gelernt, dass wir keine große Online-Plattform zu den Themen der Ausstellung entwickeln werden, sondern dass das Projekt (die Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen) und der Prozess im Vordergrund stehen. Relevante Fragen beziehen sich darauf, dem Publikum im Pazifik auch den Kontext einer Institution wie der unseren (ein europäisches Museum) und die damit verbundene Perspektive auf die Sammlungen und Themen vorzustellen. Wir planen, unsere Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse verschiedener digital entwickelter Workshops, Site Visits etc. online verfügbar zu machen und dabei die Rolle des Museums mit allen seinen Aspekten (das Bewahren historischer Sammlungen, aber auch die Tätigkeit des Sammelns in Hinblick auf aktiven Klimaschutz) als Kontext dieser Aktivitäten nachvollziehbar zu machen. Außerdem haben wir gelernt, dass wir die Nutzung von Plattformen, die für unser Publikum relevant sind und gut für die Kommunikation funktionieren, in unserem Projekt zu berücksichtigen. Das kann auch bedeuten, dass wir Wege suchen, um Teile dieser Inhalte redundant bzw. in leicht veränderter Form (z.B. für unsere Geldgeber*innen oder Nicht-Facebook-Nutzer*innen) zugänglich zu machen. Answer: We have learned through our audience that we will not develop a big online platform on the topics of the exhibition, but that the project (the activities of our cooperation and the experiences) and the process are in the focus. Relevant issues relate to also introducing Pacific audiences to the context of an institution such as ours (a European museum) and the associated perspective on collections and topics. We plan to make our experiences of various digitally developed workshops, site visits, etc. available online, making the role of the museum with all its aspects (the preservation of historical collections, but also the activity of collecting in terms of active climate protection) comprehensible as the context of these activities. We also learned that we need to consider using platforms that are relevant to our audience and work well for communication in our project. This may also mean that we look for ways to make parts of this content accessible redundantly or in a slightly different form (e.g. for our funders or non-Facebook users).
Frage: Was ist mit „in a multimedia way“ gemeint (Punkt I. 5)? Question: What is meant by „in a multimedia way“ (Punkt 1.5)?
Antwort: Wir stellen uns vor, dass wir nicht nur mithilfe von Text, sondern ggf. auch mit Audio, Video und Bild die Inhalte vermitteln bzw. die Geschichte unseres Projekts erzählen. Dazu können u.a. multimediale Inhalte anderer Plattformen eingebettet werden. Answer: We envision using not only text, but also audio, video, and images to convey the content and tell the story of our project. For this purpose, multimedia content can also be embedded from other platforms, for example.
Frage: Wie verhalten sich die in der Leistungsbeschreibung genannten technischen Grenzen zu möglichen Umsetzungswünschen? Question: How do the technical constraints stated in the specifications relate to possible implementation requests?
Antwort: Die technische Umsetzung muss berücksichtigen, dass die Plattform technisch robust, international nutzbar sein und barrierefrei sein soll. Die Umsetzung mittels eines Content Management Systems ist kein Muss, aber auch kein Ausschlusskriterium. Ansätze für den genannten längerfristigen Betrieb eines solchen Systems müssen Teil der konzeptionellen Überlegungen sein. Answer: The technical implementation must take into account that the platform should be technically robust, internationally usable and accessible (WCAG). The implementation by means of a content management system is not a must, but also not an excluding factor. Approaches for the stated longer-term operation of such a system must be part of the conceptual considerations.
Frage: Wie ist das „explore objects visually“ (II. Introduction) und „visual experience“ sowie „visual and not text-based intro“ (beide II. 1) gemeint? Antwort: Die für die Plattform formulierte Idee, einige ausgewählte Objekte zu zeigen, haben wir versucht so zu beschreiben, dass deutlich wird, dass es hier nicht in erster Linie um Texterklärungen und Metadaten geht, sondern darum die Objekte visuell zu erfahren (durch Zoomen, Drehen, vielleicht „Betreten“). Ob der Einstieg über die Objekte sich als angemessen erweist, wird Teil des gemeinsamen Konzeptprozesses sein. Answer: We have tried to describe the idea for the platform of showing a few selected objects in such a way that it becomes clear that it is not primarily about text explanations and metadata, but about experiencing the objects visually (by zooming, turning, perhaps „stepping into“ them). Whether the entry via the objects proves to be appropriate will be part of the joint conceptual process.
Frage: Wie verbindlich ist der vorgegebene Zeitplan? Wie sind die Rahmenbedingungen auszulegen? Question: How committed is the predetermined timeline? How should the framework be interpreted?
Antwort: Teil der gemeinsamen Konzeptphase soll es auch sein, die umzusetzende Plattform den Rahmenbedingungen (inhaltlich, technisch, formal) anzupassen und Ideen in Hinblick auf die Umsetzbarkeit im gegebenen Zeitraum zu entwickeln und zu bewerten. Bieter können in ihrem Angebot einen begründeten Gegenvorschlag für die Vorgehensweise machen und Rahmenbedingungen benennen, die sie erfüllen können. Die Konzeptphase soll auch dazu genutzt werden, die Ideen den Rahmenbedingungen anzupassen. Nach der gemeinsamen Konzeptphase ist aber eine Anpassung der Rahmenbedingungen (finanziell, zeitlich) in gemeinsamer Absprache möglich. Auf diese Weise versuchen wir, einen iterativen Konzept- und Entwicklungsprozess zu ermöglichen. Answer: Part of the joint concept phase should also be to adapt the implementation of the platform to the framework conditions (in terms of content, technology, formalities) and to develop and evaluate ideas with regard to feasibility within the given timeframe. Frage: Wer wird für die Entwicklung der Inhalte, das Storytelling zuständig sein? Question: Who will be responsible for content development, storytelling?
Antwort: Wir arbeiten für die einzelnen Aktivitäten des Projekts Ozeanien Digital mit einem internationalen Netzwerk zusammen (Berater*innen, Facilitator*innen, Autor*innen, Organisator*innen der Vor-Ort-Aktivitäten, Publisher etc.), auf dieser Grundlage werden die Inhalte entwickelt. Answer: We cooperate with an international network for the individual activities of the Oceania Digital project (consultants, facilitators, authors, organizers of on-site activities, publishers, etc.), and the content is developed on this basis.
Frage: Wie wird der Planungsprozess aussehen, wer ist als Teil des Konzeptteams in den Konzeptentwicklungsprozess einbezogen? Question: What will the planning process look like, who is involved in the concept development process as part of the concept team?
Antwort: Das Team, das in den Konzeptionsprozess einbezogen wird, ist dagegen klein, eine konzentrierte Zusammenarbeit ist möglich. Es besteht aus der Projektleiterin und ein bis zwei weiteren Personen aus dem Team. Dieses Team übernimmt die Verantwortung für die Abstimmung mit weiteren relevanten Bereichen, der Leitung und Kooperationspartner*innen an der NUS. Answer: The team involved in the conception process, on the other hand, is small, and concentrated collaboration is possible. It consists of the project manager and one or two other people from the team. This team is responsible for the coordination with other relevant areas, the management and cooperation partners at NUS.
Frage: Wann endet die Angebotsfrist? Antwort: Die Angebotsfrist endet am 30. Mai 2023.
Frage: Gibt es eine genauere Beschreibung der Anforderungen an die API? Antwort: Was die API angeht, denken wir an eine Abfragemöglichkeit benötigt, die in der Art eines Formulars bedienbar ist, um bestimmte Daten abfragen und ggf. nachnutzen zu können. Frage: Would you consider a concept that focuses on a combination of existing social media platforms to publish your narratives and collection object, and delivers your key messages on an existing, hosted storytelling platform? Answer: The main focus of the project is connecting very well with this idea. We focus on content production and network and existing platforms. But we will also need to establish a small self-hosted platform ourselves where we can connect the content and the different parts of the project’s which also makes it understandable for our different funders. We are open for unconventional ideas that also meet this requirement.
